THE SHORT ANSWER

Escape through the sewers, collect the van key near the armoured enemy, then reach the gravekeeper’s house. Take the shed key, collect the gate inset from the shed and return to the chapel while avoiding Charlotte.

Treat the opening as an escape route

Once Charlotte’s chase begins, keep moving through the available corridors and ladders. A creature appearing in the direct route is a signal to turn into the other passage. Do not stop at every side wall expecting a combat encounter to end the chase.

When the route gives you a heavy door that can be closed, use it and continue. Your immediate task is distance and navigation. Only resume a careful room search once the game returns you to a calmer exploration area.

Use the safe stop before the electrical hazards

The route brings you to Zora, storage and a save point. Use that break to sell valuables, store excess equipment and restore a manageable inventory. A pistol upgrade is described in the room reached shortly after this stop; inspect shelves and cabinet tops rather than only floor pickups.

Later, watch the electrified water. Use the accessible pipe and raised surfaces to cross safely, then operate the generator switch to change which part is dangerous. Check the water again after switching: a control changes the hazard rather than permanently removing electricity from the entire room.

Find the van key and leave the tunnels

In the room containing the large armoured enemy, look for the body near the exit door. The van key is there. You can decide whether to fight or move around the threat; collecting the key and reaching the exit is the progression requirement.

Outside, unlock the van’s rear doors and pass through it. The next woodland pursuit requires attention to ground hazards as well as the pursuer. A bear trap can break your movement rhythm, so watch the path while keeping an escape direction available.

Search the house before opening the shed

From the graveyard, work toward the house beyond the bell. Inside, inspect the bedroom for the shed key and an inventory-capacity upgrade. The safe clue draws on two dates, leading to the documented code 9606. It contains an optional pistol upgrade.

Use the shed key outside to collect the Graveyard Gate Inset. Check that the item is in your inventory before turning back. The sequence is house → shed → chapel; returning to the gate straight from the house leaves you without its required insert.

Return without confusing stealth and safety

Charlotte patrols the graveyard on the return trip. Crouch, watch the patrol and use bushes and cover. Pay attention to the visibility indicator. A route that works while the enemy is facing away is not necessarily safe during the next patrol loop.

If you are aiming for a stealth-specific trophy, keep a save from before this section. Published player reports disagree about some detection and trap behaviour; this guide does not guarantee the trophy trigger. Prioritise an intact save rather than treating an uncertain reload trick as confirmed.

At the chapel gate, insert the missing piece. When Charlotte catches up in the scripted encounter, shoot the overhead flame/light source to burn her and open the escape. Continue toward the next Labyrinth objective. The Sunny’s Soul route picks up the next major set of traversal puzzles.
